Adorn Cosmetics

Australian Made, Zero Waste Refillable Beauty that's Kinder to Your Skin, Animals & Our Planet.

Our commitment

As Australia’s ethical beauty icon, Adorn Cosmetics is committed to protecting our precious planet by making environmentally conscious decisions in all aspects of the brand—from our product creation, packaging and distribution and customer product refills. Adorn offers sustainably manufactured products with the lowest possible carbon footprint to deliver our customers a luxury product. Our makeup and skincare products are refillable and packaged in biodegradable, reusable or recyclable packaging; we don’t individually box or wrap our products in plastic - and we never have. Since we launched in 2008, we have sold our products ‘undressed’ and had a focus on minimal, totally recyclable or refillable packaging.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

Adorn's sustainability & zero waste initiatives date back to 2008, with refillable beauty (reducing plastic by 90%) & naked products being at the core of our incredible waste reduction. We champion 'prevention is better than a cure' approach when it comes to both the production and retail of Adorn products. For example, our cosmetics are packaged 'naked' (have no outer boxes or plastic) which means that from the very outset Adorn proudly uses dramatically less planet resources (saving trees, water, plastic, emissions & fuel) than most other beauty brands. This also means we prevent unnecessary post-consumer beauty waste going to landfill. Adorn customers also receive their online orders guilt-free in reusable, compostable materials, and for the few items that cannot be refilled (such as mascara), customers can return them to Adorn for recycling.

  • How are the service/s you offer environmentally friendly?

To ensure the safe arrival of Adorn products, our team carefully wraps them with eco-friendly, biodegradable and recyclable paper and ribbon. We use a honeycomb patterned paper made from SFI/Recycled material—an excellent alternative to plastic bubble wrap and foam that protects the order and looks amazing for a wonderful customer experience. Adorn also recycles their post-consumer beauty waste with TerraCycle.
