Our commitment

Circle Sister is proudly eco-friendly. šŸ’š WE ARE KIND TO MAMA EARTH. Circle Sister strives to keep our carbon footprint down by sourcing and offering eco-friendly products and suppliers who share the same sustainability principles and respect for our planet. This also means that we too buy from eco-friendly suppliers. Our cacao is a non-GMO Heirloom or Criollo Cacao, meaning they are descendants of the ancient tree, no chemicals are used and the forest is regenerated for sustainability and protection of the eco-system in which it thrives. They are all certified organic, vegan, fair-trade, and sourced ethically from farmers who practice ancient traditional farming methods passed down from their Mayan ancestors. Christine says, "If we can all do our bit to look after our planet we offer abundance for the wildlife and our children to enjoy and flourish in."

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

Circle Sister strives to keep our carbon footprint down by sourcing and offering eco-friendly products and suppliers who share the same sustainability principles and respect for our planet. We buy compostable or recyclable packaging from suppliers who donate $1 from our orders to plant a tree, giving us the opportunity to play a part in reforestation. The cacao is certified organic, non-GMO, vegan, fair-trade, and sourced ethically from farmers who practice ancient traditional farming methods passed down from their Mayan ancestors. Our cacao is non-GMO heirloom or criollo cacao, meaning they are descendants of the ancient tree, no chemicals are used and the forest is regenerated for sustainability and protection of the eco-system in which it thrives.

  • How are the service/s you offer environmentally friendly?

Circle Sister products and packaging are sourced from ecofriendly suppliers who share the same interest and commitment to looking after the planet by maintaining sustainable and circular model practices. We only take what we need to reduce wastage and over-commercialising natural resources from Mama Earth.

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

We partner with cacao agencies and processors who directly trade with small family farms that use traditional farming methods passed down to them from their Mayan ancestors. They do not use any chemicals and only nurture the ecosystem in which the cacao thrives by planting other fruiting trees and greenery that help to provide shade for the cacao tree and nutrients for the soil where it grows.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

$1 from each order is donated to an IEQUALCHANGE project of choice.

  • How has your company made a commitment to achieve and maintain inclusion & diversity (e.g. Gender / Race / Ethnicity / National Origin / Sexual Orientation / Religion / Disability / Age)?

Circle Sister demonstrates respect to cultural safety, inclusion, and diversity, and is welcoming and kind to all those we interact with and who supports our small business. We acknowledge First Nations peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work. We recognise their connection with the land, water, and culture and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.

  • How does your circular model or circular initiative work?

Circle Sister supports suppliers who donate funds from our own orders towards reforestation or the planting of a tree. Circle Sister customers have the choice to donate $1 from their order to go towards an IEQUALCHANGE project that assists vulnerable members of our community. Every little bit of kindness helps.
