Earth Worthy

Earth Worthy makes gifts that give back. From our handloom blankets - which are 100% cotton - to our compostable jute bags, every product we sell is sustainable and ethically produced.

Our commitment

After living in Bangladesh and discovering the intricate art of handloom, our goal became clear. We knew we had to share this beauty beyond the borders. A talent taught to each generation, handlooms are a family-run and set up in homes. Unlike fast factory fashion, handloom takes time and care - producing beautiful products that are one-of-a-kind and kind to the planet.

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

PLANET The products we produce are kind to the Earth and meet the following criteria; • Production materials are renewable and do not cost the Earth. All our products are made from natural plant-based materials, with the expectation of our cushion inserts are made from recycled materials. • We aim for minimal impact during the production process –handmade produces lower carbon emissions and minimal wastage of materials. • Circular: we consider how our products can be reused, recycled, or even replenish on the Earth so that we do not contribute to landfill. • No plastic. All our bags, blankets, and cushion covers are plastic-free. We believe that there are great plastic alternatives and we make these available.

Our products are made from 100% cotton and Jute.

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

PEOPLE We employ people in Bangladesh who; • Survived a garment factory collapse in 2013. They cannot work in large-scale factories due to injury or trauma. We provide a safe and happy workplace where their skills are valued. • Have artisanal skills and craftsmanship that allow them to work in their communities and not work away from family in the city
