Our commitment

Elato's sustainability comes from our mission to use the enjoyment of ice-cream to help reduce world hunger and food waste plus a pledge that involves the following 5 sets of activities: 1.Initially, 4 cents per tub to be given to OzHarvest (which will increase as Elato increases its revenue and profitability). By supporting OzHarvest, we contribute towards funding activity that advances 5 out of 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. 2. Recycling Elato's tubs - Our tubs are fully recyclable plus we have applied to become part of the Australian Recycling Label Program. 3. Regenerative Agriculture - Elato plans to release more plant based products 4. Carbon Offsets - Elato is reviewing the impact that its sustainable sourcing (below) has on offsetting its use of dairy ingredients 5. Sustainable Sourcing - Elato's flavour suppliers support sustainability because they make artisanal agricultural, regenerative products as well as being committed to giving back to their local communities

    We use fully recyclable packaging for our ice cream tubs and all our ice cream flavours are plant based regenerative products.

    Our flavour suppliers all source products from overseas and were specifically selected because of their commitment to pay fair wages and to give back to their local communities

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

    Initially, 4 cents per tub is being given to OzHarvest which will increase as Elato increases its revenue and achieves profitability as we have pledged to give half our profits to OzHarvest. We have already gifted over 6,200 meals to OzHarvest since launching 18 months ago, which will increase again in June with our next quarterly payment. By supporting OzHarvest, we also contribute towards funding activity that advances 5 out of 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
