Etiko is a street fashion brand for people who care about their fellow human beings, our natural environments and animals. Everything from sneakers to tshirts and hoodies to underwear. All fairtrade, organic and vegan.


Our commitment

Since launching our brand back in 2006 we've endeavoured to create products which have the least possible negative impact on the environment. We have not strayed from that goal. We've worked hard to be a carbon neutral fashion brand. Now we are endeavouring to become the first carbon positive fashion brand in Australia

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

    In summary we are doing a lot. More than 99% of other fashion brands. 1. We are committed to only using certified organic cotton 2. Minimal packaging. Any packaging we do use is either FSC certified or certified Home Compostable 3. We have a take back program for all our products (except for underwear)

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

    All clothing is made with 100% organic cotton (except for underwear and socks which are made up of 95% and 98% organic cotton. All sneakers are made with 100% organic cotton canvas and FSC certified natural rubber soles. All rubber thongs are made with 100% FSC certified natural rubber

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

    Etiko was the first fairtrade certified fashion brand in Australia. All of our suppliers are certified fairtrade factories. Etiko is one of only 4 fashion brands available in Australia which can prove its work force is paid a living wage. In regards to make our supply chain more sustainable we are always looking for new ideas/materials and techniques

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

    Giving back is a large part of what we do. Via the sale of many of our products we raise much needed funds for organisations 'doing good'. From the Asylum Seekers Resource Centres to Sea Shepherd and and heap more organisations

    We've been committed to maintaining inclusion and diversity since the launch of our business back in 2006. This is an integral part of our B Corp accreditation.

  • How does your circular model or circular initiative work?

    Quite simple we use the most natural materials available for making footwear and clothing. We then use the least amount of packaging. Then we take responsibility for all our products at the end of their life.
