Our commitment

Globally, Garnier are committed to five areas to help combat climate change. MORE SOLIDARITY & INCLUSIVITY - By 2025 Garnier are committed to empowering 1500 communities. MORE RECYCLED & RECYCLABLE MATERIALS - By 2025 Garnier will use ZERO VIRGIN PLASTIC in our packaging, avoiding around 40,000 tonnes of virgin plastic per year. GREENER FORMULAS - by 2030, Garnier will move to ingredients that are bio-based or derived from abundant minerals or from circular processes. APPROVED BY CRUELY FREE INTERNATIONAL - All Garnier Products are approved by CRUELTY FREE INTERNATIONAL under the Leaping Bunny programme. MORE RENEWABLE ENERGY - by 2025, Garnier will use 100% renewable energy in our industrial sites.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

    In 2021, 31% of plastic used in Garnier product packaging was from recycled sources. By 2025 we aim to use zero virgin plastic in our packaging and for 100% of our plastic packaging to be recyclable.

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

    Since 2005, our plants and distribution centres have cut water by 54% and CO2 emissions by 69%. Today 62% of our industrial sites are carbon neutral thanks to renewable energy, and we’re developing Waterloop factories to further reduce our water consumption.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

    Across the world, Garnier is taking part in action to promote a greener world, though Global partnerships with NGOs and skilled local partners. In Australia, Garnier work with Take 3 for the Sea, their mission is to inspire participation in simple actions that reduce the impacts of plastic pollution and waste in the ocean and broader environment. As part of Garnier’s Green Beauty mission, we’ve joined forces with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation to plant hundreds of thousands of corals, helping to regenerate our Reef. For every Garnier product purchased in Coles from 27 September to 7 November 2023, the Foundation will plant a coral. Garnier’s goal is to plant up to 500,000 baby corals this year to help restore and repair damaged reefs.
