GoodnessMe

We believe everyone deserves to eat real food and feel good! Thanks to our trusty team of nutritionists, we take the guesswork out of reading food labels. We only deliver wholesome and eco-friendly food, beauty, supplements and home products.

Our commitment

Since GoodnessMe’s launch, longevity has been at the heart of everything we do. This takes a few forms: finding and evaluating brands that boost health, energy and balance, and in an eco-friendly way. For us, sustainability means living within the means of our environment, and promoting products that don’t cause harm to others, or the natural landscapes surrounding us. Today, we work with over 300 Australian-owned, eco-conscious and sustainable businesses who follow ethical trading and manufacturing practices. Our range across food, beauty, home and supplements is consciously curated and cruelty-free, and we measure each product against a stringent set of criteria. The products we feature are largely produced right here in Australia without GMOs or artificial additives, and either certified organic or made with all-natural ingredients. We have never — and will never — partner with a brand in the GoodnessMe Box or shop that doesn’t align with our values.

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

As well as partnering with sustainable brands, we use recyclable, biodegradable packaging in both the GoodnessMe Boxes and online shopping orders. Our subscription boxes and shop delivery boxes are produced locally in Australia to lower carbon emissions. They’re also made with recyclable materials, including void fill that’s 100% recycled matter. This means less product packaging overall, plus less plastic. On that note, we choose to cushion fragile items, like glass, with recyclable paper alternatives to bubble wrap. When cooling is needed, we reach for sustainable cold packs made from sheep’s wool. We’ve recently introduced volumetric box sizing in our warehouse to prevent waste, and we’re working on a program where customers can return their GoodnessMe Boxes back to use to recycle or reuse. For now, we offer multiple ideas for reusing the boxes and giving them a second life! In our effort to reduce paper waste, we've adopted digital alternatives for things like insert cards and pamphlets. In terms of food waste, we are acutely aware of the hunger crisis in Australia, and we work closely with the Food Bank charity to help combat this.

  • How are the service/s you offer environmentally friendly?

As a small business, we take our responsibility to our community’s health and the environment equally seriously. This is exemplified during Green Friday and Earth Day, where we celebrate and highlight sustainable brands. We also create and launch a “conscious themed” GoodnessMe Box each year, which supports stellar sustainable brands and delivers them right to customers’ doorsteps for the ultimate exposure. The GoodnessMe team is proud to invest in sustainability education, which we share with our engaged community via our newsletter, blog and social media platforms. We believe that when we know better, we all do better.

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

Our main delivery partner, Australia Post, offsets the carbon emissions from all their deliveries.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

GoodnessMe is a proud, official OzHarvest Supporter. OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue operation, and they’re doing incredible work to feed and nourish people in need across the country. As part of our goal to create a positive impact in the community, we are donating 2 meals ($1) for every new GoodnessMe Box subscriber in December 2023. For every $1 donated to OzHarvest: 2 meals are delivered to those in need 1kg of food is rerouted away from landfill 6.6kgs of greenhouse emissions are prevented 345L of water are saved by avoiding food waste

  • How has your company made a commitment to achieve and maintain inclusion & diversity (e.g. Gender / Race / Ethnicity / National Origin / Sexual Orientation / Religion / Disability / Age)?

For the past 8 years, since day 1, every GoodnessMe Box has supported those with a disability by providing meaningful work and helping them to develop valuable professional skills. We are proud partners and supporters of Disability Services Australia, and every GoodnessMe Box is assembled by members of that organisation.
