Our Sustainability Framework

• Emissions & Key Environmental Issues

  What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

  We need to work together as a community to achieve an even greater and more sustainable future. But this change towards sustainability has to start with the product producers, like us. We need to lead the way and set the example that it is not money that drives the future, but the health of our planet and everyone on it. That’s why we are taking action - by creating a skincare range that is sustainable, and good for people AND the planet. It is why we pride ourselves on continuing to educate ourselves and our customers on why natural is better, alongside making technological improvements for further sustainability in production. Hemp Co Australia is rolling out a 5 year plan to be a plastic negative brand with all packing moving forward having been made from 100% recycled plastic and cardboard and also removing gram for gram used of plastic from ocean waste plastic. Not only will Hemp CO Australia be supporting the reduction of new plastic being made but we will be supporting and improving the quality of our oceans and planet by cleaning up our seas.

• Materials

  How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

  We use only plant based ingredients and nothing synthetic in all of our products. They are 100% all natural and come from the environment. Our main ingredient Hemp Seed Oil is grown with very little water, helps reduces the CO2 emissions more than any other plant, and can be grown without pesticides. The more hemp we can grow the more we can undo damage from other sources.

• Community Initiatives

  How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

  MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT Mental Health is an area close to our hearts. As a Youth Counsellor, Fran is increasingly seeing more and more mental health issues arising for young people. And as a Builder, Dave is increasingly seeing tradies and similar “masculine” workers hiding their struggles due to fear of stigma and wanting to appear ‘strong’. 1 in 4 young people and 1 in 5 adults were already struggling with their mental health before the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a staggering statistic, and such a high number potentially means that right now we are each closely connected to someone who is struggling with their mental health, if not yourself reading this now. Everyone deserves support, and we refuse to stand by and watch others struggle when we know we can do our part to help in some way. Because, not only do we want to help our customers feel their best by looking their best, but we also want to aid in supporting their mental health struggles, as well as the mental health of people all around Australia, regardless of culture, race, gender or orientation. And THIS is why we promise to donate 5% of all profits to a Mental Health Organisation in Australia, every year. Each year that we are in buisness we will be increasing our

  Our products were designed for use for everyone no matter, their gender, race, sex, age etc. Our products come in matte black containers designed to be gender neutral and all inclusive.
