Our commitment

At Honeybee Wraps we are dedicated to leading change towards a more sustainable future. We start with a steadfast commitment to environmental responsibility and a consistent pursuit of sustainability goals. We started with the goal to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainable living practices. Our loyal customers over the last 10 years are a testament to that goal. Our commitment towards sustainability extends beyond our product offering to include our supply chain. We source materially locally wherever possible, supporting Australian businesses and helping minimise carbon emissions. We are proudly a part of the larger journey towards a greener, kinder, more sustainable future.

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

At Honeybee Wrap, we pride ourselves in using only natural ingredients for our products. Our fabric is 100% GOTS Certified Cotton; the wax coating is made from Australian Beeswax (or Vegan Wax), Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil and Resin. In the sourcing of all products, we consider the chemical use throughout our supply chain and opt for natural and non-toxic materials that are safe for both consumers and the environment. By avoiding harmful chemicals, we protect eco-systems and promote human health. Our manufacturing facilities are equipped with energy efficient lighting and heating and cooling systems and are consistently looking for ways to optimise our processes in view of reducing waste. Our customers are encouraged to reduce, reuse and recycle - the main purpose of our product, which in turn diverts waste from landfills.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

All raw materials used in the manufacture of our products are sourced with the most care to ensure they are of a high standard. Materials are sourced from Australian supplies where possible. We use only natural ingredients in our products and recyclable packaging. Where possible we ensure our raw materials are certified, by using only 100% GOTS certified Cotton, Natural Australian Beeswax, and oils sourced from Australian suppliers. All manufacturing is done in our facility in NSW.

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

With the exception of our fabric (which is GOTS Organic Cotton), all our materials are purchased in Australia to ensure an ethical and sustainable supply chain.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

When the opportunity arises, we look forward to collaborating with Schools and Communities for giving back - we love spreading the word about our products and how they can easily help others to reduce their plastic waste and food waste.

  • How has your company made a commitment to achieve and maintain inclusion & diversity (e.g. Gender / Race / Ethnicity / National Origin / Sexual Orientation / Religion / Disability / Age)?

We can proudly say we have a small team and hire based on the best fit for the role - without any discrimination towards the candidate for gender, race, ethnicity, origin, sex, religion, disability or age.
