Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

    At In Essence we know not all oils are created equally and ensure our quality through sourcing. That’s why we only source the finest harvest 100% pure essential oils from a global network of farmers and suppliers committed to supplying authentic, unadulterated oils that is free of parabens, pesticides & synthetics. Our Australian Made & Owned brand prides itself in being 100% Cruelty-Free. Heritage Brands have also recently created a safety, health & environment team that is continuously looking at our product and packaging sustainability and is aimed at reducing our plastic packaging and packaging size/carbon footprint.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

    Our one sacred truth at In Essence is that we are uncompromising on our commitment to sourcing from the highest quality crops and the most trusted sources. We work closely with our network farmers and producers to achieve full transparency on our oils & ensure they are free from anything that’s not good for you including parabens, pesticides and synthetics. And of course we respect all of nature’s plant and animal species, this means we do not test on animals and all of our products are 100% cruelty free.

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

    Heritage Brands is committed to integrating ethical and socially responsible business practices into all aspects of operations, and in doing so, meeting the expectations of its valued stakeholders. This Ethical Sourcing Policy (Policy) embodies Heritage Brands commitment to both the ethical manufacture and supply of consumables and working with suppliers to improve their social and environmental practices. The Policy is based on internationally accepted labour standards. Heritage Brands has the expectation that its suppliers will also share and demonstrate the same commitment. Ethical Standards 1. Employment is freely chosen. 2. Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining are respected. 3. Working conditions are safe and hygienic. 4. Child labour shall not be used. 5. Wages are paid. 6. Working hours are not excessive. 7. No discrimination is practised. 8. Regular employment is provided. 9. No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed. 10. No Bribery and Corruption engagement. 11. Respect the environment. Suppliers are responsible for ensuring compliance with this Policy and shall maintain adequaterecords of all aspects of the ethical standards set out in this Policy. Heritage Brands will monitor compliance.
