Our commitment

All of our products and/or packaging are recyclable or has been made from recycled materials depending on the item. We always ask ourselves: Can this be reused, recycled or repurposed? It's not just the product or it's packaging we consider but also the tissue paper it's wrapped in, the void fill it's packed in and the shipper carton it's sent in. At Mary Grace we do not support the use of single use plastic. We have made the transition to mailer bags that are 100% biodegradable and compostable. We do what we can to make impactful choices and initiatives with our suppliers. Mary Grace is a proud partner of i=Change; an organisation that connects brands with charities both nationally and worldwide. It's our small way of giving back to those in need. It was hard to choose a charity to support, if we could, we'd support them all! The best part about i=change is that of their growing list of charities, we're able to support 3, not just one, all of which are personal to us!

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

Our packaging is either recycled or recyclable, we're part of the eco packaging alliance and take steps daily to offset not only our own carbon emissions but also those put out by our couriers when delivering parcels.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

Recycled or Recyclable materials. PET plastics or glass where possible. We request our suppliers to stop the individual wrapping of each product part sent to us. I.E. the lid, the bottle, the bottle caps, the oil dropper, the bag strap etc. Instead we request that these parts be placed together in the same order. One of our suppliers, Mary Grace is a proud member of the eco-packaging Alliance that contributes to global reforestation. It starts with a single tree.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

"To make giving back one of the most powerful commitments business can make - and to accelerate the impact of extraordinary development projects." - Jeremy Meltzer, Founder. Mary Grace is a proud partner of i=Change; an organisation that connects brands with charities both nationally and worldwide. It's our small way of giving back to those in need. It was hard to choose a charity to support, if we could, we'd support them all! The best part about i=change is that of their growing list of charities, we're able to support 3, not just one. The charities we chose to support are ones I feel personally connected to.

  • How has your company made a commitment to achieve and maintain inclusion & diversity (e.g. Gender / Race / Ethnicity / National Origin / Sexual Orientation / Religion / Disability / Age)?

Yes; none of these factors come into play when hiring staff. We are ethnically diverse ourselves, as business owners and part of multiple minority groups. Our interview process is a unique group interview that provides tests and challenges for applicants that bring their result back to a score and focus purely on how well they can follow instruction and work together and absolutely nothing relating to any factors of identity. We are in a very small country town, and have always had a very diverse team of staff.
