• Emissions & Key Environmental Issues

  What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

  By making it super easy to buy together, and grouping it in one package, orders are delivered with far less wasted packaging. We want to drastically reduce the harm of inefficient packaging as soon as possible considering how much CO2 emissions are emitted into the atmosphere from the package production process. It's such a massive problem that in order to keep up with packaging demands, approximately 3 billion trees are pulped yearly. It's time we did our part in reducing this down as soon as possible. With Mateship and all our amazing partner stores, we know we can!

• Service Offering

  How are the service/s you offer environmentally friendly?

  Customers can shop together with their mates to get free shipping and cashback as a team. Our way of rewarding a more sustainable delivery - all thanks to you! By grouping orders in one package and sending it all in one package, deliveries are made so much more efficient. By at the very minimum halving the number of delivery stops, delivery trucks are on the road for less time and consuming less petrol. That means that emissions are drastically reduced from transportation-related activities. As of recently, it was determined that 37% of total GFG emissions were created from the shipping and return of products. We're set on drastically reducing it!

• Supply Chain

  Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

  Mateship is compatible and works with all Aussie delivery companies, including one of our Green Friday mates, Sendle. It's super easy for any retailer to make the last mile delivery portion of their supply chain so much more eco-friendly using Mateship. • Community Initiatives

  How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

  We've got a number of partnerships with merchants that are focused on sustainability, or donating a portion of their revenue to charitable organisations. We're also partnered with a number of merchants that work with Green Friday.
