• Emissions & Key Environmental Issues

  What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

  Oz Green Oasis is committed to carbon neutral deliveries today and is working towards net zero by 2030. • We ship with earth-friendly compostable or recyclable materials to keep your sustainable products in tip top shape - NO plastic packaging or bubble-wrap! The Australian Post paper boxes, kraft paper and kraft paper tape can be put in the kerbside recycle bin. The Sendle satchels and cornstarch packing peanuts can be put in the home compost or garden. • We are car-free and use only public transport. Oz Green Oasis is a force for good who wants to work with partners for a better world! • We use B-Corp Certified Sendle or Australia Post, depending on where you live, and all our deliveries are 100% carbon offset. • We source our energy from Powershop, Australia's only power retailer to be certified as 100% carbon neutral. • We use B-Corp Certified Bank Australia, the first Australian bank to join the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV), carbon neutral since 2011 and certified by the Australian Government's Climate Active program. We go above and beyond to source the most sustainable products for you, including: organic; plastic free; vegan.

• Materials

  How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

  Oz Green Oasis has verified that every product in the store has sustainable product packaging made from low environmental impact materials that is recyclable, biodegradable, refillable, repurposed and/or made from post-consumer recycled plastic or from used, recycled and repurposed plastic that is collected from beaches, oceans, land and recycling plants. Our sustainable brands include: Ethique: A B Corp™ Certified New Zealand brand and the world’s first zero-waste beauty company. Gaia Natural Baby: Their dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility is evident in its recyclable packaging and cruelty-free practices. Mustela: B Corp certified and makes baby and child skincare products that respect the planet. Weleda: A certified B Corp and the world's leading manufacturer of holistic, natural, organic cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products. Woohoo: An officially certified Plastic Negative company and every product is either plastic free or carries a beyond Net Zero Plastic Footprint. Wotnot Naturals: Champions sustainability through recyclable packaging and eco-friendly practices.

  How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

  Some of the groups we promote and/or volunteer for are: • Clean up Australia Day: Australia's waste challenges go far beyond one day. Clean Up Australia inspires and empowers communities to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment. • Earth Day: An annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. • Keep Australia Beautiful: Provides communities, businesses, schools and every day Australians the opportunity to make a difference. • Planet Ark Programs: Australia's most trusted environmental organisation. • Circular Models

  How does your circular model or circular initiative work?

  Oz Green Oasis recycles or reuses all packing material received. All product packaging can be put in kerbside recycling bins or recyclable via the Terracycle program at zero cost, with the information included on the Acure brand page. This information is highlighted on every product page. Oz Green Oasis is also a member of the Australian Circular Economy Hub to learn about and implement other circular initiatives in all areas of the business.
