Our commitment

Our products support everybody's health naturally and when it comes to health, quality is important. We use high quality natural ingredients in our products and source locally where possible. Our essential oils are all therapeutic grade. Since its inception the business model for pure blue essentials has been founded on the basis of healthy people and a healthy planet. Sustainability in business is harder, but even more important, than sustainability values in individuals. We have always maintained our commitment to using compostable and/or plastic free packaging and mailers. We are carbon neutral and produce all our own energy on off-grid premises.

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

Our small business HQ and operations are on an off-grid, carbon-neutral property where we produce all our own energy. Since its inception, pure blue essentials has minimised its impact on the earth by choosing environmentally-friendly packaging and compostable mailers. Our business model is one of supporting every person's health, while also supporting the planet. We feel they go hand in hand. Our ingredients are sourced locally where possible and our products are made of all natural ingredients. They are always non-GMO, palm oil free, vegan, cruelty free. They do not contain any synthetic fragrances or colours.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

Our products are made of all natural ingredients and are always non-GMO, palm oil free, vegan and cruelty free. They do not contain any synthetic fragrances or colours. Ingredients are sourced locally where possible and all essential oils used are therapeutic grade. Glass, bamboo and wood are used, not plastic. 100% cotton is used for fabrics, not polyester or nylon.

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

We source our ingredients locally where possible to minimise the embodied energy and travel miles that go into making our products. Its also important to us to support local and Australian businesses. Our products and packaging are made from natural, sustainable materials. We buy from businesses that only use recyclable and plastic-free packaging when they send their products, in a further effort to keep plastics out of our supply chain.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

We connect with our local community at markets. We source ingredients and packaging locally where possible. We make donations to organisations that help heal the planet and do good in the world.

  • How has your company made a commitment to achieve and maintain inclusion & diversity (e.g. Gender / Race / Ethnicity / National Origin / Sexual Orientation / Religion / Disability / Age)?

Our products help every person in the community. We are a small group running a small business and would ensure we have an equitable policy when the time come to take on more staff.
