Reluv Clothing

Reluv is an Australian owned digital platform designed to facilitate buying and selling of curated, premium quality preloved clothing for women, and encourage circularity in the fashion industry.

Our commitment

We provide a unique preloved clothes shopping experience, express delivery, styled outfit inspiration, above-and-beyond customer service, and a vast range of brands and sizes for all body shapes which makes preloved clothes shopping easy and fun! We are here to inspire a new generation of shoppers by making reuse easy, accessible and acceptable. We want to make second-hand clothing your first option when you shop. Reluv has been founded on the principles of sustainability. We are addressing our carbon emissions, minimising textile waste, reducing demand for new clothing production and addressing social impacts in the fashion supply chain. Whether you buy from or sell to Reluv, you can trust that we have sustainability at the centre of all our business practices.

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

Emissions - All parcels are shipped through our carbon neutral service provider Sendle. We offset the emissions associated with powering our website every year by investing in accredited reforestation projects within Australia. We avoid banks who invest in fossil fuel and have chosen Bank Australia as our preferred financial institution. Reluv HQ operates on 100% renewable energy. Waste - All items that are not accepted for sale are donated to the Remote Opp Shop Project which supports entrepreneurship in indigenous communities or to Fitted For Work to support women seeking employment. Items that are not able to be sold or donated, are recycled through textile recyclers in Australia. Our parcel bags are all 100% compostable and can be placed in your compost bin at home at end of life. Our Clean Out Kit bags are sustainable produced from recovered ocean plastic and recycled at end of life. Any printed material e.g. brochures, clothing labels and business cards are printed on 100% recycled paper using sustainable printing methods. Through our partnership with Upparel, our customers can recycle their well worn clothes at end of life -reducing the amount of clothing and textiles sent to landfill.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

All items sold by Reluv are preowned and 100% recycled

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

Reluv selects suppliers and partners who demonstrate practices which address their sustainability impacts and drive positive social outcomes.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

Reluv aims to support advocacy, empowerment, health and well-being programs for garment workers in developing countries. We donate $1 from every purchase to an organisation in Bangladesh which supports and enhances the lives of garment workers. Items that are in good condition but not suitable for sale are donated to the Remote Opp Shop Project which supports entrepreneurship in indigenous communities. We also supply work wear to Fitted For Work - an organisation which supports women re-entering the workforce.

  • How does your circular model or circular initiative work?

At Reluv Clothing, we want you to look your best and we think you can do that while helping us shape a new textile economy. Increasing clothing utilisation of the items that have already been produced has a key role in a circular fashion industry. Reluv is part of the circular fashion model. While no one business will solve the challenges in the fashion industry, many players will each need to play their part to make fashion circular. By reselling preloved clothing, Reluv increases the utilisation rate of clothing and redirects clothing from landfill.
