Sportitude is a proudly Australian and family-owned retailer of performance footwear for running, as well as tennis, netball, basketball and football. We believe that the right footwear is vital to achieving peak performance.


Our commitment

With one of Sportitude's core values being Never Settle, we commit to actively learning and continually improving the environmental and social impact of our organisation. While we have made progress in some areas, we recognise that we have more work to do to continue creating positive change. Recycling is a big focus. From recycling cardboard and plastics in our warehouses and stores, to our recyclable postage satchels made of 80% recycled plastics, and our UPPAREL partnership providing online and in-store customers options to recycle old shoes and clothing. We continue to increase the range of stocked products made from recycled materials and sustainable manufacturing processes. Our heavy investment in in-store and online fitting technology helps customers get the best shoes for their feet the first time and minimises the environmental impact of returns. We employ a diverse team with a strong culture built on respect and we are very active in supporting community initiatives.

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

    Recycling materials is a key focus for Sportitude. We recycle cardboard and plastics that move through our warehouses and stores. To reduce the impact of plastics, Sportitude postage satchels are recyclable, they are made of 80% recycled materials and are reusable for return postage as well. Sportitude stocks a growing range of footwear and apparel made of recycled or sustainable materials from major sports brands that continue to invest and innovate in these materials and more sustainable manufacturing processes. We partner with UPPARREL to provide solutions to our online and in-store customers to divert their old footwear and clothing from landfill. Customers can either book a collection online or drop their old shoes off in-store. We encourage customers to use our state-of-the-art fitting service to help ensure they have the best shoes for their feet the first time, thereby reducing returns.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

    Sportitude stocks a growing range of high-performance footwear and apparel made of recycled or sustainable materials by partnering with the likes of Nike, ON Running, Adidas and Mizuno amongst others.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

    Sportitude runs a School and Club Rewards program that gives members access to discounted shoes as well as cashback to each School and Club to fund their sports programs. We also host and participate in fundraising events such as our own River Run which raised funds for the victims of flooding in NSW and QLD. Another initiative for this cause was our support for Shoe Boxes Of Love which are a disaster relief charity that helps to get affected communities the essential everyday items they need. Sportitude sponsors a variety of sporting clubs and events to boost active participation in sports.
