• Supply Chain

  Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

  Yes we partner with ethical factories to manufacture - Two are in New Zealand and one is in India - which the founders visit yearly. Our Indian supplier is also partially solar powered, Our main Indian organic supplier of our ingredients is certified FOR LIFE by IMO a third party certifier as a Socially responsible company. They have also has created over 5000 direct and indirect jobs in the last 17 years, which in their view is a very important social contribution. They also help all the workers and field staff on their payroll plant 5 trees every year in his/her respective area. has also donated 5000 Neem, Karanja and Amla trees to the farmer groups to improve the biodiversity on the farms.

• Community Initiatives

  How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

  We've partnered with Eden Reforestation to Plant and Tree for each product sold. Eden Reforestation Projects not only working tirelessly to help reverse deforestation, but also provide jobs and hope to local, indigenous communities worldwide. Their mission to plant a minimum of 100 million trees every year is making a profound difference environmentally and sociologically, and - as part of our work with them - we pledge to plant one tree for every 'The Organic Skin Co.' product you purchase. It's a chance to give back, to help redress the balance.

  At The Organic Skin Co. we set clear diversity and inclusion requirements in recruitment and hiring, and also in our community outreach. We also pursue and encourage supplier and vendor diversity as we source many of our ingredients from community farms in India, where organic farming practices have helped revitalize rural towns and villages; small communities whose very lifestyle has been threatened by a historical focus on small, individual plots of land, a reliance on monoculture, and the overuse of chemical pesticides and fertilizers.
