Wash Bloc

Introducing Wash Bloc, the shampoo and conditioner bars that make a difference! Our products are designed for people who care about the planet and its future, and want to leave a better world for the next generation.

Our commitment

Inspired by the clean waters of Australia, our founder George, a traveller and surfer from Perth, created solid shampoo and conditioner bars that are naturally derived, plastic-free, biodegradable, with no harmful chemicals, & sustainably produced. We are committed to reducing the impact of plastic on marine life, conserving water resources, and providing users with products that benefit them and the environment. With a mission to educate and inspire consumers to change from liquid to solid products, we aspire to make a difference and ultimately reduce plastics from ending up in landfills and the ocean. Our sustainability journey is rooted in creating eco-friendly and sustainable products for individuals who care about the planet's future.

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

Biodegradable: our products and packaging are all 100% biodegradable. Saying no to plastic: being solid means plastic bottles are not required for Wash Bloc products and part of our mission is to reduce the amount of plastic waste that ends up in oceans and landfill. Water conservation: liquid shampoo and conditioners contain up to 80% water, our solid products require significantly less water to produce, conserving this valuable resource. Reducing emissions & waste: due to their solid nature, Wash Bloc products are highly concentrated, meaning less product is needed to achieve the same effect. Less product means less transportation and less waste.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

Our products are made from all-natural, plant-based, ingredients, making them and our packaging 100% biodegradable.

  • Do you partner with ethical factories that meet international labor standards? What processes have you implemented to make your supply chain more sustainable?

All products are currently made in Australia, meaning we have close relationships with our manufacturers and suppliers and we can monitor the supply chain and ensure the ethical standards are met.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

We donate to non-profit organisations that align with our values, this financial year we are supporting SeaTrees and Adopt-a-Reef.

  • How has your company made a commitment to achieve and maintain inclusion & diversity (e.g. Gender / Race / Ethnicity / National Origin / Sexual Orientation / Religion / Disability / Age)?

We strive to be inclusive and diverse in everything we do, prioritising collaborations with business and organisations that share these values and featuring a range of models and individuals in our marketing campaigns and social media content to promote inclusivity and representation.
