Swedish by nature. Mornington-born. We get fired up about reducing waste and giving glass bottles a second life—transforming them into Earth-friendly, reusable scented candles with a story or two to tell.

Our commitment

The Mornington Peninsula is brimming with distilleries, wineries, breweries and restaurants. We collect the used bottles from some of our favourite local haunts then lovingly (if painstakingly) handcraft and hand pour them into 100% soy scented candles that spread a little light in your space every day. But it doesn't end there. We encourage our customers to bring back the candles when they have burnt out and use our refill service which we offer for 50% of the original cost.

Our Sustainability Framework

  • What is your company doing to reduce your emissions or combat key environmental issues (e.g. waste (packaging, end of life product strategy or recycling), biodiversity, land use, water, chemical use, energy use, and natural resource use etc.)?

    Being a small business we are always looking for ways to reduce emission. We reuse packaging for sending out our products and any glass we are not able to reuse are recycled.

  • How are the products your company offers made from environmentally friendly materials (e.g. recycled, organic materials)?

    We are using recycled glass from local businesses which are repurposed to create the vessel for our candles.

  • How are the service/s you offer environmentally friendly?

    We encourage reuse and refill of our glass vessels.

  • How does your company give back to the community (e.g. financial donations, volunteering, partnerships etc.)?

    Fenix Candle Co was founded based on partnering with local businesses by recycling and repurposing glass bottles from local business. We are also active participants volunteering and supporting local businesses through Artisan's Alley in Mornington which is the home of local makers, artists and designers.

    Fenix Candle Co is still in it's infancy and run by myself, a female owner. As we grow my I will be be fully committed to achieving and maintain inclusion & diversity.
